FusionOps: Thanks for speaking with us today, Rajeev. Tell us a little about Advanced Energy.

Rajeev: Advanced Energy is a global organization with over 1600 dedicated employees that designs, manufactures, sells, and services power control and conversion products that transform power into various forms.

FusionOps: How is FusionOps different from traditional tools?

Rajeev: With the traditional BI tool, you have this huge overhead of IT team trying to get involved, exposing the data to the best of their knowledge, and few users trying to consume that data.

So what we had is a lot of business users putting a lot of time and investing a lot of time into extracting data and getting it into a format that would be presentable for anybody else. So by the time we were sharing information with our executive levels, it’s week old data. So now what FusionOps has allowed us to do is near real-time, any person at any level of the organization can view the data and the analytics, near real-time.

In the traditional BI tool, that would take, at least, three to six months. With FusionOps, we skip all of those steps. We have a BI platform with a turnkey solution.

FusionOps: When you say “turnkey solution” what exactly do you mean?

Rajeev: It’s kind of like a one-stop shop. We can have reports from supply chain, inventory, and sales all in one view, and be able to get a pulse on the business at any point in the day. It’s an easy tool to be able to communicate how your business is operating.

FusionOps: What’s one of the first things you gained from FusionOps?

Rajeev: FusionOps gives us an end-to-end view of our supply chain, taking orders from the initial stage of opportunity all the way through fulfillment of those orders, and everything in between. Understanding where inventory is at any point of the supply chain. So truly from the point that an order, or at the thought of an order is received in that forecast, all the way through the fulfillment of an order . . . end-to-end supply chain analytics for us.

FusionOps: How does FusionOps fit into your overall Cloud strategy?

Rajeev: It is absolutely imperative for us to take advantage of the cloud technologies. We have a road map for deploying an enterprise cloud strategy itself, and FusionOps is a perfect fit into that cloud strategy in the business intelligence and analytic space.

FusionOps: How has it been partnering with FusionOps?

Rajeev: FusionOps team is part of my team in the commitments we have made. So we believe we have a vested interest together to be wildly successful in this journey that we have started, where we want to be the industry leaders, in terms of how we analyze and how we represent that data. So absolutely, they are critical to our success.
