SUNTRON CORPORATION IMPLEMENTS FUSIONOPS AMS TO AUTOMATE MATERIAL PROCUREMENT AND SUPPPLIER COLLABORATION
FusionOps’ Solution Streamlines Flow and Control of Materials by Improving Efficiency and Buyer Productivity Phoenix, AZ and Sunnyvale, CA - June 24, 2008
FusionOps, a market leader in lean material procurement and collaboration software, today announced that Suntron Corporation, a provider of integrated electronics manufacturing solutions, has implemented FusionOps Adaptive Materials Supply (AMS) Suite for use by all Suntron sites.
Suntron will use FusionOps’ AMS solution in concert with their Oracle ERP and MAC-PAC systems to automate execution of material planning notices to improve supplier collaboration. The FusionOps’ AMS solution allows companies to automate buyer transactions, eliminates paper processes and increases buyer productivity. FusionOps’ solution keeps an account of all material planning notices, thus eliminating additional expenses of maintaining additional files and databases. The FusionOps’ solution is fully configurable based on simple business rules and is pre-integrated with major ERP systems.
“After reviewing other alternatives, Suntron selected FusionOps’ AMS solution because it was best suited for Suntron’s materials processes and diverse supply chain. FusionOps’ AMS solution increased Suntron’s purchasing team effectiveness and document traceability” said Suresh Chohan, Suntron’s Vice President, Corporate Materials.
“We are excited that Suntron is using FusionOps AMS solution for Oracle and Mac-Pac after a comprehensive selection process,” said Ram Mohan, CEO of FusionOps. “An adaptive rule-based solution is the most effective enabler of the lean supply chain.”
The FusionOps solution goes beyond Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and traditional supplier portals that just offer better views of ERP data, exchange of EDI or XML data and alerts. It enables organizations to automatically increase the flow of materials end-to-end, while reducing buyer/planner manual interventions. Also, the FusonOps’ solution facilitates root-cause analysis and process improvements. It is used by the largest medical equipment, automotive and electronics manufacturers with a wide range of ERP system users such as SAP, Oracle Corporation, and JD Edwards.
